BUNGY!

We went to New Zealand, me and Frida, and what
a trip that was!
NZ is just magical!
You have to visit the country if your going to Australia!!
It takes around five hours with plane from Melbourne and it's not to expensive.

We did something in NZ that we both are very proud of,

BUNGY JUMP !

From the bridge outside Queenstown, the adventure city of NZ!

I was so scared, what a challenge!

This is exactly what we did!

The Kawarau is the only Bungy in Queenstown where you can choose to bob above the water, touch it, or be fully immersed. Well we did the last one, even if we didn't want to.

" Oh no you two can't decide what to do, you girls are from Sweden! Sorry! "

Alright! :)

AIK

It's soccer tonight, AIK - KALMAR is playing.
Chris and Dad got tickets to Råsunda, they will have a really great time!
AIK is leading the series and Chris is happy as never before !
He's singing AIK songs ( in Swedish ) and really hoping they will win this year
when he's here in Sweden.
And Dad is not a AIK fan, and taking every opportunity to joke with the team in front of Chris. They are so funny when they start with their soccer talk :)

Fishing Ceduna, Australia

If you like fishing, Ceduna in Australia is
a paradise for you.

Chris took me for a long long roadtrip all the way from Melbourne
to Ceduna ( half way cross Australia ) and there was so much to watch and discover on the way. It takes around 9 hours to drive from Melbourne to Adelaide.
We stayed one night in Adelaide (more about that later ) and then we kept driving to Ceduna around 7 hours from Adelaide.

Ceduna is a small town in the West coast region of South Australia.
It's only 2304 people living there and it's a true paradise with the beaches around the town and all the sandy coves and sheltered bays. It's also called the oyster capital of Australia.

We went fishing for crabs one night and had a big shark as a visitor nearby.
That was really scary and we couldn't believe what just happened.
But we were lucky that night :)

Chris called his old friend from Ceduna so he could take us out the the right fishing spots, them ones that only the locals knows about.

Ceduna is far far out in the bushland and not many towns are out there, the nearest town
west of Ceduna is 1200 km away and to the east 480 km away is Port Augusta.
If you want to see the outback this is a really interesting drive to take. It will take your breath away! You really wonder how it's possible to live so far out in the outback, and I promise that you will see all the animals that you want to see on your Australian holiday.
Snakes, spiders, sharks, whales, kangaroos, koalas you name it :)

The local fish species in Ceduna is King George Whiting, Snapper, Garfish, Salmon,
Prawns, Lobsters (Crayfish) and Blue Swimmer Crabs.

To Pauline

This flower is for you Pauline.
Just to tell you, from the other side of the world, how much I love you!
Not to long now....

Say Cheese

OK it's time to get serious Australia.

How is it possible to be without a cheese slicer ?

It's the cheese slicer that makes it cheesier :)

Just a weird thing that I discovered in Australia.

I have to bring a couple of them, the only one I found in the shop

in Australia was a really bad one.

It's Britney Bitch

Britney Spears in Stockholm Globe Arenas!

It was great entertainment, with lots of cool effects and special numbers with
unbelievable good dancers and show folks.
I'm not a big Britney fan, but with free tickets....

It's time for me to go to bed now.
I have three snoring "boys" here in the TV room.
Well actually 1 man and two dogs.
They are so cute but so loud!

Goodnight Sweden
Good morning Australia

Hope it will be a great day in Australia with lots of happiness
for our family on the other side of the world.

Sov gott Sverige!

Happy little Vegemites

I have to take Chris to the English shop here in Stockholm, Medborgarplatsen.
http://www.englishshop.se/
He needs his Vegemite, he says. I can not understand it, but I have to take him to the shop.
If your going to Australia watch out for that dark weird toast spread Vegemite.
It's just ouuuuu no for me!
But Aussies they LOVE their VEGEMITE. So I better be quite.

Just watch these commercials and you know what I mean.

Fotobok

GOLD

Thanks Heralds Sun for the interesting information about
the huge gold deposits across Victoria.
To read the article about the gold in todays Herald Sun press here.

Wooohooo the hole garden outside Melbourne is probably covered with gold underneath.Time to get everything ready.
About three million ounces of gold may be located in an area NORTH OF MELBOURNE.
North = Shepparton.
I always knew there was something special about that city.
God bless our beautiful Shepparton.

Helsingborg

Our little Otis just got back from Helsingborgs Djursjukhus , one of the biggest Animal Hospitals in Sweden. We had to take him to the emergency care on Saturday and he had to stay for many nights.
We are so happy that we are all together again. The four of us.
Chester was very worried being home by himself without his brother in crime!

In the car on our way home from the hospital !

Otis was snoring really loud in the car. He felt safe with us again.

The Australian brothers together in Sweden, outside Solvesborg.

The man from down under...

Photo : Ida

I said,

- Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder ?

Wait....
- Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
He looked at me with a smile and suddenly he gave
me a
vegemite sandwich
together with a cold VB.

He said,

- YES girl "I come from the land down under,

you better run, you better take cover."

Youngish

Chris riding the bike a late summer night in Sweden.

It's still a bad update ratio on our blog, but the weather here in Sweden are just so beautiful, wonderful swedish summer, and we are spending most of the time outside. Also, our internet connection at home are messing with us and it's really irritating.

We are enjoying life, spending time with Ida's family in Sweden and counting the days until we're together with Chris's family in Australia.

The new face ?

The Herald Sun is speculating in who's the next
face after Lara Bingle in Australias tourism commercials and the most
popular person voted by Australians is Hugh Jackman. (The movie Australia)

Lara Bingle's "Where the bloody hell are you " ad last year ( you will find it in our blog)
wasn't popular in every country overseas and American-based trends expert Daniel Levine
explains why :
"It's very hard to export humour. That humour really works in Australia, but I think it fell flat abroad," he said.

The most popular tourism ad for Australia is still Paul Hogans from the 1980s with "throw another shrimp on the barbie"

At this time a year it's always a treasure hunt for
