Down under

I like it here. Mostly sunny but we actually had a bad storm yesterday. The rain is much needed here so we're all enjoying the rain "down under".

Heat

Forecast today  : 42 degrees

Think we better stay in the pool all day or inside near the aircondition.
We're going to some friends house for barbeque tonight let's hope it's
a bit more cooler then.

Spannande!

It's very warm here in Australia so we are very happy that we got a pool at Chris's mum and dads house.
We jump in the pool as often as we can!
The dog Misty loves the pool aswell and I played around with her for hours this morning and she just don't wanna stop. We were driving around this morning in Chris's familys fruitfarms and one of the workers told us he spotted three brown snakes near the pumphouse the other day. But we didn't see any this time.

The land down under

Hey everyone!

We've landed in Australia, Melbourne and it's so wonderful to
finally be here! It's warm and sunny weather and we're here
with Chris's family and we still can't believe we're actually here.
As soon as I walk out the plane I could smell the beautiful smell of
Australia and it was a very very happy moment.
The plane trip went good and Emirates was taking good care of us all
the way. Now we need to sleep and catch up with all the hours from the plane trip.
We have so much fun ahead and I will update with pictures here very soon.

It takes 6 hours from London to Dubai and then 13 hours from Dubai to Melbourne!
What a long trip but so worth it, we are thrilled to see Chris's family and friends very very soon.
It's cold and rainy here in London aswell but we heard it's around 30 degrees in Melbourne!!!
Alright our credit is about to run out so we have to go.

Where Else ?

Here's a commercial for the tourism Queensland campaign.
It's the right time to travel to Australia now and
get away from this cold weather.
Winter here summer there...
This is how it's going to be for us from now and onwards,
summer then summer then summer
then summer then summer, then summer.. oh you get it ? :)

New Book

Chris bought a new book today for our long air trip to Australia, recommended by me of course.
I'm a huge fan of Stieg Larssons triology about the genius computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and the journalist Mikael Blomqvist.

Some writeups :

"What a cracking novel! I haven't read such a stunning thriller debut for years...Brilliantly written and totally gripping"

" A striking novel, full of passion, an evocative sense of place and subtle insights into venal, corrupt minds "

Cold outside but warm in heart

It's that time a year here in Sweden
when you have to bring all those warm beautiful
summer memories back.
Freezing cold, dark at four o'clock, and a long
period ahead with minus degrees and grey surroundings.
But with lots of family and friends around, the fireplace
going, nice food and the house full of candles
it can be a cosy time with heaps of warm and cheerful feelings.
